​The twelfth Vranæc ambassador was officially announced

Mr. Per Karlsson was officially elected as the twelfth Vranæc Ambassador, joining a highly respected, international group of honored promoters of wines made by Vranac variety. In the same group, in addition to the official twelve ambassadors, there are also two companies with the largest production of such wines, namely: Macedonian winery Tikves and Plantaze-13 Jul from Montenegro, which share the same ambassadorial status.
The official inauguration of the Vranæc Ambassador takes place traditionally on October 5 as part of the Vranæc World Day celebration. This year, the ceremony took place in Skopje, Macedonian Opera and Ballet, where Mr. Kazuhiro Kotetsu, opera singer, director of the Tokyo Vranec Chamber Orchestra, and also Vranec Ambassador, had his fantastic concert, organized by Wines of Macedonia and Japanese embassy.
In front of a large number of visitors, with the presence of the diplomatic corps, Macedonian President Ms. Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, President of Association "Wines of Macedonia" Mr. Svetozar Janevski, and President of "Federation Internationale Des Confreries Bachiques" Mr. Alan Bryden, with the highest honor, Mr. Per Karlsson was only one elected this year as a Vranæc Ambassador.

Mr. Per Karlsson - wine expert and writer

Mr. Per Karlsson is a Swedish citizen living in Paris for over thirty years.
He is co-founder and co-manager. together with his spouse Ms. Britt, of BKWINE, a company active in wine tourism and writing. In collaboration with Ms. Britt Karlsson, Mr. Per Karlsson is among Sweden’s most published wine book authors.
They have written twelve books on wine, winemaking, wine tourism and wine regions. Their books have been awarded several prizes in Swedish and international book competitions: The Gastronomic Academy of Sweden, the International Organization of Vine and Wine-OIV, Gourmand Sweden and Gourmand International. 
In addition to their numerous books, Britt and Per are prolific writers on wine on BKWine Magazine, a widely read bilingual (English-Swedish) web magazine on wine. They are also regular contributors on wine to the American business publication Forbes.com and occasionally also to other publications.
Britt and Per are also editors at the Swedish National Encyclopedia (Nationalencyklopedin-NE) for everything regarding wine. Per is also regularly called on to judge in international wine competitions.
And was a part of the first Vranec Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles.
