Analysis of the Awards at Four Prestigious Wine Competitions in 2025 The 2025 wine season once again confirmed the rising reputation of Macedonian wines on the international stage. At four of the world’s most respected competitions--Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA), Concours Mondial de Bruxelles (CMB), Mundus Vini, and the Balkan International Wine Competition (BIWC)—Macedonian wineries achieved impressive success, earning a place among the world’s most distinguished producers.
What sets this year apart is not only the number of awards but also the high ratings achieved. Only wines evaluated with 90 or more points (Club 90+) were taken into account, a level that signals character, terroir expression, and consistency of style. Considering the maximum score of 100 points, the results are particularly remarkable. Key Achievements
The Elite Wines from this year’s cohort, 11 wineries produced 15 wines that scored 94 points or higher (Club 94+), the level considered true international excellence.
