"Taste of Awards 2025" Brings World-Class Recognition to Macedonian Wine

On October 3, 2025, Skopje’s Marriott Hotel will become the stage for an exceptional celebration of Macedonian wine. Taste of Awards 2025, organized by the Macedonian Association of Sommeliers (MASOM), gathers the country’s most acclaimed wines, those that have earned 90+ points at prestigious international competitions such as the Decanter World Wine Awards, Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, Mundus Vini, and the Balkans International Wine Competition.

A Celebration of Recognition
The evening is not just another wine event, it is a recognition of achievement. Each bottle poured tells a story of a vineyard, of a winemaker’s craft, and of international judges who acknowledged Macedonian wines among the world’s finest. For sommeliers, producers, journalists, and wine lovers alike, Taste of Awards offers a rare chance to experience excellence expressed into every glass.

The Wine Guide
To accompany the tasting, MASOM has prepared the official Taste of Awards Wine Guide. This curated edition highlights the diversity of Macedonia’s terroirs and varieties, from indigenous grapes such as Vranec, Smederevka, and Stanushina, to refined blends and modern styles. It is both a roadmap for the evening and a collectible reference that captures the essence of the country’s most celebrated vintages.
