The wine world turned its attention to Yinchuan, China, today for the grand opening of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2025 (CMB), one of the most prestigious international wine competitions. Held under the elegant arches of the Ningxia Grand Theatre, the event kicked off in spectacular fashion, celebrating excellence in winemaking with a perfect blend of tradition and innovation. 

The opening ceremony began with a warm welcome from local dignitaries, through the President of the OIV, Ms. Yvette van der Marwe, and the Chairman of the CMB, Mr. Baudouin Havaux.
Mr. Havaux emphasized the rapid development of the most prestigious Chinese wine region, Ningxia, and the expansion of the boundaries of the wine world, as well as the role of wines as a common language between civilizations.

​There were over 380 international wine experts from all over the world in the audience, ready and willing to start tomorrow's wine judging.
