Tucked away in the suburb of Skopje, within the heart of the Skopje Wine District, Brzanov Artisan Winery is one of those rare small-scale producers whose wines speak with a big voice. Without owning their own vineyards, the Brzanov has mastered the art of sourcing select grapes and transforming them into concentrated, fleshy, and powerful wines, almost always nurtured in oak barrels and crafted with an unmistakable artisan touch.

Although the winery does not participate in competitions frequently, when they do, their bottles almost inevitably earn high international acclaim.

At Taste of Awards 2025, Brzanov Artisan Winery will showcase three striking wines that perfectly reflect their philosophy:

• Vranec Elixir 2012 – A legend in its own right, this wine won Grand Gold at Concours Mondial de Bruxelles with an impressive 95 points. Thirteen years on, it still bursts with energy, retaining vibrant primary aromas while delivering extraordinary depth and palate presence.
• Syrah Artisan 2021 – With its well-delineated aromatic profile leaning toward a New World style, this Syrah is liquorice-driven, powerful yet elegant. Awarded Gold and 92 points at CMB, it shows Brzanov’s mastery in shaping an expressive, modern red.
• Vranec Limited Edition 2021 – A bold and structured wine, approachable today yet crafted with great ageing potential. Another testament to Brzanov’s dedication to balance concentration with elegance.
