In the rolling hills of Disan, the oldest recognized Macedonian wine sub-region within the Tikves Wine Distirct, Venec Winery tends vineyards that have stood for more than half a century. This beautiful valley, stretching up to 600 meters above sea level, offers low-yielding old vines that reward patience with grapes of remarkable character. The result? At Taste of Awards 2025, Venec will present four wines that capture the soul of Disan. The Single Block Kratoshia 2021 (91 pts) is a red full of depth and dark berry richness, smooth yet powerful. Their Chardonnay 56 Barrel Fermented 2023 (91 pts) shows how elegance meets complexity, with layers of fruit and gentle oak. For lovers of intensity, Orle Vranec 2021 (90 pts) offers bold, ripe flavors and firm structure. And to brighten the line-up, the Koria Temjanika 2024 (90 pts) bursts with floral aromas and crisp, lively freshness.
